We're looking for a Bursar to manage our financial services on a day-to-day basis, such as collecting tuition fees and managing accounts receivable/payable.

Your primary responsibilities include budget management, supply procurement and payment, and financial procedure setup. In addition, you will be responsible for general and financial administration (e.g. managing employment contracts, ensuring compliance with the law and contacting local authorities.) To be successful in this role, you must be able to complete multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner while working with little supervision.

Finally, in accordance with regulations, you should ensure that our school's financial and operational management runs smoothly.

  • Oversee cash management on a day-to-day basis.
  • Account payable and receivable management
  • Maintain well-organized tuition fee books and receipt files.
  • Expense reports should be prepared on a regular basis.
  • Budget management for the year
  • Analyze costs and productivity.
  • Examine employment contracts and service terms.
  • Create and maintain financial procedures
  • Communicate with local governments and school boards.
  • Report on performance and investment/funding opportunities to the school's general manager.
  • Work experience as a Bursar is required.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Excel in particular)
  • Excellent financial management abilities
  • Accounting procedures and best practises should be known.
  • Experience with budgeting and cash flow management
  • Excellent time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritise work.
  • Excellent analytical skills, as well as experience creating reports and presentations.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, or a related field is required
  • A certification in school administration.
