We're looking for a detail-oriented and results-oriented director of business development to help us grow our business by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term growth strategies. The director of business development is responsible for recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and informing partners of significant business developments. You should also be able to analyse financial, statistical, and economic data to assess business risks.

You must be persuasive and have strong business acumen to be a successful director of business development. Finally, an exceptional director of business development should be capable of negotiating sound business deals while also demonstrating excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external sales and marketing departments, vendors, distributors, and customers.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company.
  • Researching new markets and emerging market trends.
  • Developing new partnerships.
  • Formulating and implementing an account management plan to ensure that business relations are properly maintained.
  • Presenting market research to the marketing department and recommending strategies to improve market research.
  • Collecting information in order to prepare proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Continually learning about the company’s products.
