We're searching for a competent Billing Clerk to assist us in keeping track of our revenue. You'll be in charge of keeping track of money due to us by clients, preparing invoices, and keeping records up to date.

You must be accurate and dependable when processing accounts and papers as a billing clerk. Due to the large amount of financial data, being competent at math and having a high level of organisational ability are required. Because you'll be employing technology to speed up your work, you'll need a degree of knowledge on computer skills.

The function is to assist in the appropriate preparation of accounts receivable and to protect the company's revenue.

Billing Clerk
  • Monitor account balances to look for any outstanding debts or other discrepancies.
  • Collect all necessary data for calculating accounts receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)
  • Check the data entered into the accounting system to confirm that the final bill is accurate.
  • Create and send invoices and bills to customers via multiple means (mail, e-mail etc.)
  • Customer account statements should be issued on a regular basis or as needed.
  • Receive payments via a variety of methods (cash, online payments, etc.) and verify their legitimacy.
  • Send payment reminders and make contact with customers as needed.
  • Update accounting records to reflect new payments, balances, and customer information, among other things.
  • Answer billing-related concerns and complaints from customers.
Billing Clerk
  • Billing clerk experience or general accounting experience is preferred.
  • Laws and confidentiality requirements must be followed.
  • MS Office (particularly Excel) expertise is required. Knowledge of appropriate software (such as Quickbooks) will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • A high school graduation is required; additional education is desirable.
