We are looking for a Cashier to manage all customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

Receiving payments and issuing receipts, gift-wrapping packages, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions are all responsibilities of the cashier. To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience in a customer service position as well as a solid understanding of how cash registers work. You should also be available to work occasional evening and weekend shifts.

Finally, you'll ensure that all transactions go smoothly and that we maximise customer satisfaction.

  • Utilize cash registers to manage customer transactions.
  • Scan the goods to ensure the pricing is correct.
  • Collect payments in cash or on credit.
  • Provide receipts, refunds, change, or tickets as needed.
  • Stamps and coupons can be redeemed.
  • Introduce new products and cross-sell existing ones.
  • Resolve customer complaints, provide guidance, and relevant information
  • Greet customers as they enter and exit the store.
  • Keep checkout areas clean and tidy.
  • Track balance-sheet transactions and report any discrepancies.
  • Packages can be bagged, boxed, or wrapped as gifts.
  • Handle product returns and exchanges

Requirements
  • Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a sales-related role is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge  
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers and point-of-sale terminals
  • Dedicated to customer satisfaction
  • A high school diploma
