We're looking for a passionate event manager with a "can-do" attitude to help us arrange events that boost our brand's image, increase client loyalty, and improve our brand-to-client experience. Exploring and securing venues, organizing and executing our events calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, supporting with event marketing, tracking timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives are all tasks that the event manager will be responsible for.

Responsibilities
  • Planning the event from beginning to end according to the needs, target audience, and goals  
  • Assisting with concrete suggestions to improve the event's success
  • Preparing budgets and making sure they are followed
  • Exploring and negotiating with vendors and suppliers
  • Recruiting, training and hiring other services/people (DJs, waiters etc.)
  • Ensuring all the operations are harmonized  
  • Supervising the employees and lead promotional activities for the event (event coordinators, caterers etc)
  • Overseeing all components of the event prior to the day of the event, ensuring that the event runs successfully and stepping up to fix any issues that may arise
  • Communicate with the sales and marketing staff to promote awareness about the event.
  • Assessing the success of the event and generating reports
  • Create a post-event analysis to guide future events
  • Ensure that all duties related to insurance, law, health, and safety are met
  • Plan parking lots, traffic signals, security checks, emergency medical services, and media facilities
Event Manager
Requirements
  • A degree in hotel management, hospitality, communications, or public relations may be preferred
  • Experience in a senior role for an event/catering environment of at least 1-2 years is required
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate successfully with persons from a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Professional presenting abilities and a service-oriented style
  • Capacity for problem-solving and diplomacy
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Skills in written and verbal communication that are clear and succinct
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and administrative capabilities
  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
