Guest Relation Officer Job Description

We are looking for a Guest Relations Officer to provide excellent customer service to our hotel's guests. You will be responsible for managing our Front Desk Department and providing exceptional customer service to our guests as a Guest Relations Officer. You should communicate well with our guests and make their stay at our hotel more enjoyable.

Guest Relation Officer Job Responsibilities

  • Review guest arrival lists to offer a warm greeting.  
  • Attend to distinguished visitors (such as VIPs) and respond to their questions.  
  • Assist with the preparation of welcome folders with material (e.g. room service menus, area descriptions)  
  • Promote services and provide information about amenities, the neighbourhood, and venues.  
  • Anticipate guest needs and establish a rapport with them by assisting them with specific tasks (e.g. confirming travel arrangements, taking messages)  
  • Address customer complaints and, if necessary, escalate to the Guest Relations Manager. Log information in the logbook on a daily basis.
  • Assure that health and quality standards are met.

Guest Relation Officer Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in hospitality management or another related discipline is required.  
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Guest Relations Officer, Hotel Manager, or other related position.  
  • A professional certification in hotel management may be preferred.
  • Should be a customer-focused person with a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry's standards.  
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.  
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills.  
  • Excellent time management abilities.
