We are looking for artistic candidates with excellent communication skills for the position of makeup artist. Makeup artists are responsible for consulting with clients and creating custom looks based on their specifications, determining which materials and colours are the most suitable and having knowledge of different colour palettes and design styles, among other duties.

Makeup Artists will need to create unique designs for their clients, requiring them to stay updated on the latest trends in fashion and beauty.

• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and wants

• Determine necessary supplies and equipment needed  

• Apply makeup in a professional manner

• Pay attention to other details such as costumes and design

• Help in applying and removing makeup and prosthetics

• Work with other crew members  

• Examine makeup materials at disposal and chose the best option

• Prepare budget planning for makeup supplies and tools

• Track expenses

• Keep makeup tools and products in check

• Adhere to personal hygiene standards  

• Stay up to date with the latest best practices, tools and technology in your field
  

• Proven experience as makeup artist

• Knowledge of makeup and hairdressing techniques

• Experience in prosthetics and special effects is a plus

• Technical understanding of lighting, photography, styles, dramatization etc.

• Ability to balance quality and budget restraints

• Understanding of health and safety rules

• Great communication and interpersonal skills

• Artistic personality and manual dexterity

• Attention to detail

• Patient with a positive attitude

• Diploma from a vocational school in cosmetology, makeup or relevant study
